When I was about 20 years old, in the 70's, I started losing my hair. I was
about 24 years old when I decided to do something about it. Without internet
and nobody to ask about hair systems, my father introduced me to a coworker 
of his who wore a hair piece. It looked pretty good on him so I decided to 
try what he did. What happened next shouldn't happen to anybody. First there 
was the consultation; a fast talking representative sold me on the looks. 
Then there was the fitting , telling me how it will fit and match perfectly, 
which is why it is so expensive. When it was finally made it was actually sewn 
into my scalp. Painfully, I walked out a new man, my head swollen with a 
permanent hair piece attached to my head.  
	   
Many men who first start to wear a hair replacement have the option not to 
wear it if they feel uncomfortable around friends or family, take it off at 
night and  wear it when they want to. Mine was permanently attached.  Two 
months after it was attached, the holes in my head started to get infected. 
After a year of it on my head, 	with it starting to thin and fade, I had to 
do something else.  I went to a local family hair stylist. He looked at my 
head and said that these people were butchers. He set me up with a new system 
that was attached by tape or glue and said that his salon would be the last 
place I would ever need.
	
For 23 years I thought I was getting the best system there was. I even went 
to the other hair places and figured they are all the same, expensive!! In 
December of 2004 my hair stylist decided to call it quits. No explanation, 
no recommendations just closes up shop and quits. Now I was in a real fix I 
needed a new piece and nobody to go to. The hair pieces only last about a 
half a year. I went to the internet and found the site Hair By Mail and 
found it to be the easiest to navigate and they tell you right up front 
what the 	price would be. At first I thought, how could it be as good as
mine through the mail, but for the low cost I decided to try it. To my 
surprise it was better than the one I had before for 1/10th the price. I 
talked to Mia and Kassie  on the phone personally. They know what we men 
are going through and will do what they can to get the right hair system 
for you. I sent them an old hair piece of mine and they matched the color 
and size to that hair piece. I asked for one of their referred salons and 
found a Barber who used to wear a hair piece and knew what to do with mine.
I couldn't be happier with Hair By Mail and want to thank them for keeping 
me in hair. If anybody reading this is thinking about buying a new hair

Hi Mia,
        I am dropping you a note of appreciation to you and your staff for the 
        two custom wigs I received from Hair-by-Mail. I lost my hair at age 23 
        due to a condition called "alopecia totalis." Since 23, I have worn custom 
        wigs and purchase them from a variety of locations. All have dealt with 
        this company or that company, but none have proven to be as comfortable 
        or look as natural as the two that I received from you. 

        Now just to have fun, I 'll tell people that don't know about my condition 
        that my hair came by mail order and they think that I'm not being truthful. 
        After 30 plus years of dealing with the hairpiece/wig business, I must say 
        that I am truly happy with both the quality of what I received and the price. 
        Both wigs, including the price of cutting and styling, costs less than what 
        I paid for one unit in the past. Additionally, working with you and your 
        staff has proven to be an enjoyable experience. They say that a picture is 
        worth a thousand words, so here are two thousand words for you, one before 
        picture and one after the final cutting. As long as you and your staff are

Dear Mia,

I have used your fine services for about 2 1/2 years now. Prior to that I 
was a "buffaloed" customer of Apollo. I wore their units for over 10 years. 
I not only had to pay way too much for their product, but had to drive over 
200 miles one direction to be insulted and bilked out of thousands of dollars. 
When I found your company, I was to the point of just either going 'au-natural' 
or shaving what was left off. Why?? Over the years, they had sold me everything 
from human, human/synthetic, full synthetic, and the 'coup-de-gras' Yak! (Yuk!!) 
The last 3 units I was sold was made from "better than human hair"...Yak hair! 
I look back at pictures of myself from that era and wish someone would have 
told me about the dead animal I had on my head! Yak is the worst, frizziest, 
and ugliest hair I ever wore. But, of course, they told me how wonderful I 
looked.  When I informed them that I wouldn't be coming back, they tried to keep 
me as a customer by saying they would still sell me their units at an increased 
price, since I wasn't really going to be a real customer, and that they wouldn't 
sell me any kind of bonding system. I would have to be content with using either 
tapes or clips. That just didn't sit right with me at all!

I paid my last overpriced service charge, pleasantly bid them farewell and 
proudly walked out with my Yak on my head. During the next thirty days, I ordered 
my first units from you. I ordered three different styles of ready to wear to be 
able to pick the quality, style and construction I wanted. The color of the first 
units were slightly off, because I hadn't sent in samples, but when I sent in the 
samples with the returned units, they came back perfect! I settled on the Model 2 
and have worn it ever since. My wife and I are able to handle things just fine 
without the 'professionals' and the savings have been tremendous. I look and feel 
better than I ever did wearing Apollo units and will never go back to them.

I always order 3 units at a time to keep new ones on hand, just in case of a major 
disaster, (I work in an environment that isn't very friendly to hair pieces) and 
now always look my best. I have an excellent stylist, she cut my real hair for 
years, and she beats the so-called pro's at Apollo in every way! She is one of 
your cyber salon stylists, Sara in Roswelll, NM and she really knows how to make 
a unit look like it is my own hair. Last time I ordered, I decided to go a step 
further. I used to wear my hair with a perm, so I ordered 3 more of my favorite 
model 2's and had them permed with a medium wave and I am even more satisfied than 
I was before! I have gotten more compliments on my hair than ever before and even 
some of my friends who know I wear a unit, have seemed to forget that it really 
isn't my hair.

To sum it all up, you can't do better than Hair By Mail for your hair replacement 
needs! Mia and Jessica are so knowledgeable and do everything possible to give you 
the best quality at the best prices and with full technical assistance. Thank you,

As you know I choose to wear a hairpiece.  Earlier this past year I was 
debating whether or not to just go back to my very successful hair transplants.  
Why?  This was because I simply had it with the outrageous amount of money 
that my Denver, Colorado Hair Stylist was charging for hairpieces and her 
attitude.  So I began to explore options.

that this would be a twice a year expense.  Well this was way out of line for 
me.   I not only saved myself $ 1,760.00 dollars.  I have the same base (ultra 
thin) The color you have matched for me is 100 % my natural brown color and 
the piece is so light that I don't even realize I have it on. You can see 
right through it as the density is just right for a man in his late 30's. 
And you can even see natural scalp. No one ever stares at my hair with that 
"what is on his head" look in their eye.  It looks and feels outstanding. 
And with confidence I know it does.

Just wanted to tell you of my experience with HBM. 

I ordered a ready-made unit a few weeks ago. Initially, I tried to use 
another companies hair color ring to match my own hair color in order to 
expedite my order. I was suprised how quickly I got the unit - just 2 or 
3 days after my initial order. Anyway, It came back a little dark, just 
as Jessica said it might by using that method.  I then called back, and 
on the second ring got Mia on the phone. She said I could simply send it 
back with a sample of my own hair, and she would match it and overnight 
it back to me. I sent my original unit back on a monday, and recieved the 
new one on either wednesday or thursday. 

Thanks to Jessica, who took my initial order, and was very friendly and 
professional, and a special thanks to Mia, who took it upon herself to 
make sure I got the new piece back expeditiously, which matches PERFECTLY 
with what tiny sample of hair I could afford to send. : )   

I could not believe the excellent price of these units. My barber was 
charging me $600 for what I got here for $149!! This is a high quality 
product and a high quality company.  I am VERY pleased with everything!!

I am not a Hair By Mail client. I just put Mia's name in my contact list at 
MSN Messenger and as I logged in SHE was the first one to contact me with a 
friendly greeting. I was just having troubles with my synthetic unit and was 
convinced by my hair salon I  have to throw it away and buy a new one from 
them. They refused to give me any help on this issue, just advised a new buy.
Mia was the one who gave me in just one minute complete instructions on 
saving the life of my hairpiece and fixing up the problem by myself at home, 
which actually did work!
As I said, I am not Mia's client and never ever expected neither the friendly

When I was around 27 yrs old, my hair started leaving my head for a journey 
down the shower drain. Becoming quite alarmed at the prospect of looking

I've worn a hairpiece for about 10 years.. I've been a Xxxxxxxx client...as 
well as purchasing several other pieces..(systems..units...and a dozen other

This past year I decided to see if there were other, more economical, ways to 
purchase a quality hairpiece....Am I ever glad I did..!! 

I ran across the hairbymail site...it seemed too good to be true.  But I 
decided to risk the little bit of money and see what I got..What I got was a 
hairpiece which was as good as ones I had paid $1500.00 for !!

I got everything I ordered, just the way I ordered it, In a very reasonable 
amount of time...

Since then I've ordered extra units..This is a great advantage, I never have 
to wear a "worn out" unit, which should be repalced, just because the 
replacement cost is too high...

I will agree, that for first time hairpiece wearers...purchasing from a local 
vendor has its advantages...such as styling advice, and initial cut in of the

I am a former registered barber stylist and currently in the music , 
recording, and entertainment business. I have been wearing hair replacement 
systems for some 13 years. I have paid $1,200.00 to $2,200.00 for systems 
prior to trying a system from Hairbymail.

Quite frankly. I was a little sceptical at first but for the price of the 
unit, I thought it may be worth trying. My experience in the hairstyling 
business was a deciding factor as I had the opportunity to closely examine 
many different hair systems and came to the conclusion that one of the 
things that all the well known Hair XXXXXXXX had in common was promotional 
hype. I also realized that high rent salons, offices,  TV advertising etc. 
cost a great deal of money and the clients pay for all of this. This is 
reflected in the huge sale mark up on the hair system. I recently tried a 
ready made piece by Hairbymail just to satisfy my curiosity and make some 
additional comparisons. Here's what I found: The service was fast. I 
recieved my new piece in less than 2 weeks. The color match was perfect. 
After examining the piece closely I found it to be nearly identical to 
several pieces that were custom made for me but cost  5-10 times as much. I 
tried it on, and cut and styled it myself and in a few hours I was wearing 
a new piece that I recieved a number of compliments on the very first day. 
I'm convinced that I can now keep myself looking good without having to 
wear a worn out piece because of the high replacement cost anymore. I also 
appreciated the service which included a followup call
in addition to a few e-mails. If anyone is apprehensive about ordering a 
new piece like I did, and you're concerned about cut and style, don't 
hesitate. All you need is a good barber/stylist and a new hair replacement 
from Hairbymail. I'm ordering a second spare system today. Give it a try,
